Matthew Vlahovich, Headmaster
Mr. Vlahovich was born in Arizona and grew up in Tempe. He was very involved in the music program at Tempe High, performing in concert band, jazz band, orchestra, and leading the marching band in the Tournament of Roses parade. He then went on to study music at the University of Arizona. He has done graduate work with athletic bands at the University of Arizona, and completed an M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Matthew was on the founding faculty at Archway Veritas (a K-5 campus in Phoenix, AZ) as a fifth grade Teaching Assistant. The next two years, he served as a lead fifth grade teacher. The following year, he was a founding Assistant Headmaster at the Cicero campus, and then took leadership of the lower school, as Headmaster for 5 years (Archway Cicero).
Since moving to Texas in June, Matthew has enjoyed getting to know San Antonio, and searching with his family for the best chips and salsa. His two boys will be joining him at Western Hills, as first and fourth graders.
